About the Fender Blog & the Boy at Heart

My name is Rob Cooke, the Boy at Heart and I am a musician, songwriter, recording artist, producer and audio engineer. My main instrument of choice is the guitar and I am fanatical about anything to do with classic, vintage and "Old School" guitars and amplifiers.

I love allkinds of electric and acoustic guitars and amps, but if had to choose only one guitar and amp they would both be Fender. Most probably a 50's Stratocaster and a '59 Bassman combo.

With a preference for single coil pickups over humbuckers I have crafted a tone that I feel I can call my own over the years, all with the help of Fender Electric instruments, which is why I choose to write about all things Fender here. However I do love other brands too, so I will include stuff that is non-Fender if I feel inspired to do so.
